Yep! It's been a while!

So I've been a bit of a slacker lately! Oops...it's easy to just let things get away from you.

The days just turn into weeks lately. Time just flies. I guess that's a good thing since Joe is out of town these days. The weeks really do go by quickly...which I like. Joe was home last weekend. It was nice. He played SUPER DADDY all weekend!!! It was such a nice break for me!!! Joe took them to play at Chic Fil A, took them to a movie and then we all went bowling on Sunday. It was lots of fun. I think it really helps the kids to spend quality time like that with him. I didn't get any complaints this week about him leaving. They just keep talking about the movie and bowling!!! Bless their little hearts...the smallest things make them happy!!!

Joe and I are heading to Atlanta on Thursday. I am SO looking forward to getting away. I hate that he won't see the kids this weekend but the selfish part of me is so happy to be getting away...just the two of us!!! We'll have to make it up to the kids next week end. While we're in Atlanta the kids will be going with Aunt Ginger to the lake house. They are going to have a BLAST!!! I am so excited for them. Hopefully they won't even miss us!!! I know they'll be in good hands and they'll be spoiled rotten!!!

I'm so excited to see the Red Sox in Atlanta. We're going to have so much fun. Other than the Sox game we don't really have any plans. The hotel we're staying at has a zero edge pool on top of the building so I'm sure we'll spend some time at the pool during the day. I don't really want to do much. I'd be happy just to sleep in and be lazy and slow moving all day. I just want to take it easy and relax and enjoy our time together.

So all in all we're just hanging in. I think Joe has it worse than me in a lot of ways. Poor thing is 6 hours from home, away from him family and his life...and he's couped up in a hotel all by himself without so much as a microwave oven. And he's working 10-12 hour days. Not much to like about his life right now. So we'll just do what we can to get through it and make the best of it. The kids and I are actually going to go spend the week in Naples with him in July. It will save him a trip home and it will be a little vacation for us. He'll work a few days down there and then he'll just spend the rest with us. My Mom is going to come spend a few days with us too so that will be fun. If nothing else it will give the kids the opportunity to see him for a whole week!!!

The Sox are KILLING the Nationals right now and I'm afraid I gotta go watch the grand finish!!! Good night all!!!
